New York Fashion Week has come and gone! I wanted to let you all know which designer collections I think really took the cake during this fashion frenzy.
BCBG Max Azria
Prints, stripes, fur and leather were all used in BCBG Max Azria’s Fall 2014 collection. With soft colors and exciting shapes, Azria was able to create elegant while keeping his collection looking fresh and feminine.
Trina Turk took the prize for my favorite collection from the second day of Fashion Week. Her work with prints took the day, they were bold and bright. Both her men’s and women’s wear pieces were exciting and fun.
Black, white, and muted colors all over! Jill Stuart made the fabrics the star. Intricate details and a few muted colors to break up the black and white color palette made up this collection. This collection was modern, sweet, and gorgeous.
Lela Rose had modern prints mixed with florals and bold jewel tones. The collection was sophisticated, but still ultra feminine and bold.
Geometry was the theme of this collection with sharp shapes put into every piece in someway. The prints were bright and bold, but remained elegant throughout the whole collection. Carolina Herrera sees a bright bold Fall and I like the way its looking.
This collection had a color range from red to pink and everything in between, from navy to baby blue, and golds too! This evening wear collection was soft and sophisticated. The shapes a easy going and wearable. Any Hollywood starlet of any age would look good in these dresses.
Sleek and modern is the only was to describe this collection. The limited color palette make the silhouettes the focus. Each look was minimal, but really made an impact.
The mix of fur, leather, and velvet really makes some interesting look. The whole collection has the feel of luxury and attitude. Earthtones were in the majority of looks with a few bold tones sprinkled in. This collection was for the cool, tough girl with a touch of sweetness.
