This haul is a few months in the making and June was my birthday month so I have a lot of goodies to show you!
Black d’Orsay Flats- These are incredible comfortable, I wanted a pair of d’orsay flats and these fit the bill perfectly. These shoes are great because I can throw them on with anything. In early spring I was wearing these constantly, and I want to wear them on the cooler days of summer.
Floral Jumpsuit- I love the jumpsuit trend, it is as easy as a dress without worrying about flashing anyone. This floral jumpsuit can be worn as both a casual and dressy look just by changing accessories. This print is great because I can wear it to transition into fall.
Floral/Scalloped Top- This sixties style top has a girly print and the scalloping at the hem, but the best part was the buttons down the back!
Black Sweater/Skirt Set- I know its a bit on the dark side, but I love the idea of separates, and black is the most versatile color. I also bought this set because I loved the texture that this type of knit created it. Its light enough for cooler summer days, and the knit will keep me cozy.
Crochet Crop top- I don’t have anything like this, so this purchase was a no brainer. The crochet detail really screams spring and summer to me. I can wear it with shorts or a nice maxi skirt, its just an easy piece to wear this season.
Black Denim Shorts- I was in dire need of shorts and I don’t have black shorts. Once I found these and they fit, I was sold!
Floral Kimono-Ok, so this was an “out of my comfort zone” purchase. I have never purchased something like this, but once I did I loved it!. Its so light and airy, but I feel like I look cool and feminine in it even just wearing shorts and a tank underneath. This what I wear when I want to be lazy, but I don’t want other people to know that I’m being lazy.
Lauren Conrad Shorts- Lauren Conrad stuff always fits me pretty well so when I still needed more shorts I just went to Kohls. They did not disappoint. I got two pairs of these high rise shorts in a darker wash and a light wash. They are so comfy and have a good amount of stretch. These shorts are also not short shorts (that’s a lot of shorts…). I always feel myself pulling shorts down, and I don’t feel like I have to do that will this style and length. Don’t get me wrong, they are still shorts, you won’t feel like you are wearing capris of anything. On my legs they hit a little about mid thigh, and I’m 5’7″.
Lauren Conrad Floral Flared Dress with Back Bow Detail- I got this dress for my college graduation, and it was a great buy for a few reasons. One, it was super comfy. It was just a stretch cotton dress that I could basically sleep in. Two, the shape. It was a higher neckline, princess seams to the waist, flared skirt, and a lowish back. It was totally flattering to my body. I could have eaten three cheeseburgers and still felt great in that dress. Finally, it is just so pretty! I love the floral fabric and the cute bow in the back is the cherry on top.
Blue and Tan Belts- I needed to find a navy belt to go with my graduation dress to define my waist and when I finally did it came with this light brown one that I think will look great with so many outfits.
Heeled Sandals- I absolutely love these. They are casual, but can be dressed up. They have a thicker heel so that they are easy to walk on and are relatively comfortable to wear for a long period of time, but they are still heels. Don’t think they will feel like clouds after four hours of walking around. One thing that annoyed me is that only after three wears the small thing that holds the strap down after putting it through the belt fell off and I had to sew it back on. Besides that small problem I really love these shoes and they were a great buy for the season.
Thick Chain Necklace- I have been wearing the same necklace for a long time, but recently I feel like I need to accessorize my outfits better. I bought a chunky necklace because most of my existing pieces are more delicate. I was thinking about wearing it with a button up shirt buttoned all the way up. If you have any suggestions of how to wear this necklace let me know! (help.)
Knuckle Ring- I got this ring because it was a knuckle ring I could wear two ways. The first is the love side which I see myself wearing a lot, and the other side is just small diamonds and it’s simple and easy to wear with a lot of things. I want to get more knuckle rings because I love this one so much! Any suggestions for places that have really fun ones?
Burlington Coat Factory
Little Black Summer Dress- I love this dress because it had this gorgeous laser cut print. I wore it for my birthday and it was really comfortable too because the dress underneath is cotton and that’s always a plus!
Romper- I have a romper obsession. I’m really surprised I don’t have more. They are so comfortable. This one is a lot more casual than the other one I have. I am going to wear this one like crazy as the summer goes on! I love the floral print and the crisscross back is perfect for the hotter months to come.
Wristlet- When I go out I don’t want to carry a purse especially if all I need is the essentials. So this little wristlet was perfect because it can even hold my phone.
Long-Sleeved Top- If this isn’t the most comfortable shirt I own I would be surprised. I know it’s long-sleeved but it’s light weight so I can wear it on the not so hot days. I never want to take this shirt off it is so comfortable and soft I want to just sleep in it.
Racerback Tank- Generally I wear an old t-shirt and shorts when working out. However, after I got this tank I wanted to wear it every time I worked out, and just when I’m out and about in general. It is so soft and light that its perfect for a workout.
Neon Zip-up- This is my new favorite hoodie! It is light and soft and literally goes with everything. I am going to wear this all summer.
Nordstrom Red Button-down- I love this top! I don’t have that much red in my wardrobe so I thought this would add some brightness. It is light enough for a warm summer night.
DSW Ankle Boots- So, don’t judge me, but I bought these a half size too small because they were really cute and on sale. So Worth It.
Converse Low Tops- I got these as a gift for my graduation and I love them! They are so light and perfect for spring! I will be wearing these basically every day.
Wet and Wild Blush in Mellow Wine- Thanks to emilynoel83 on Youtube, I have found a love for Wet and Wild products. I have a few of their eyeshadow palettes so I wanted to try a blush. This one is SO pigmented I love putting it on my cheeks. Its bright and fun for all seasons, and it’s the blush I turn to when I want my cheeks to pop.
Bite Beauty Luminous Crème Lipstick Duo in Vivids- This formula is so gorgeous. This duo is creamy, long-wearing, and pigmented! These are all the qualities you want in a lipstick! If duo is any indication of the quality of all their products then Bite Beauty is a great brand. I was want to try everything they sell (if only it wasn’t so expensive). I got off easy with this duo lipstick for $12 at Sephora, and I am excited to wear them through summer into fall.
Sephora Favorites Summerstash
–NARS Travel Size Laguna Bronzing Powder- I thought this was going to be too dark for my fair skin, but after I tried it I was pleasantly surprised. I know it looks shimmery, but you can not see any shimmer once its on your face.
–Josie Maran Coconut Watercolour Cheek Gelee in Pink Escape- I was apprehensive about this product when I first saw it, but it seemed like a really interesting concept so I wanted to see how this product performed. I have been happy with it so far. It just gives you sheer color with a sun-kissed glow, and I apply it with my e.l.f. small stipple brush.
–Stila Cosmetics Magnificent Metals Foil Finish Eye Shadow in Kitten- To be honest, this one scares me a bit. I feel like it could look really good, but there could also be a huge problem of fallout. I am interested in how this ends up looking especially with a smokey eye.
–Urban Decay All Nighter Make-up Setting Spray- I have used this a few times and it seems to hold my makeup in place even on the hottest of days.
–Buxom Divine Goddess Luminizer in Venus- I have tried using this a few times and I don’t know if I am applying it right or not, but it hasn’t looked right. Its beautiful when I swatch it on my hand, I hope I can get it to look like that on my face. (any suggestions for application? Brushes? Fingers?)
–Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Stained Gloss in New Wave- This is a nice gloss with a soft color payoff. Its not sticky, which I love, and it goes on bare lips or over lipstick pretty well. My only concern is the applicator. You get a tiny brush and a squeezy tube top, which doesn’t make getting it out of the tube and on to your lips very simple.
–Deborah Lippman Nail Polish in Mermaid’s Dream- This shade is called Mermaid’s Dream for good reason! This is the perfect shade for summer and it really makes me feel like a mermaid. I have this on my toes right now (there’s no picture because no one wants a picture of my feet on the internet), and it’s layered over Now You Sea Me by L’Oreal. I layered it because its a tad sheer by itself, but layered with the soft blue L’Oreal polish it looks like the color in the bottle.
–Make Up For Ever Aqua Eyes Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil in 12L- I have never used any Make Up For Ever products so I was excited to get this blue eyeliner. I have only tried it once so far, but I did notice it did smudge a bit in the heat. I look forward to playing with it more!
–Marc Jacobs Mini Lash Lifter Mascara in Blacquer- This mascara is okay. It didn’t blow me away. Its a lengthening mascara, but it didn’t help me in the volume department. I’ll be interested to see if my opinion changes when the formula dries a bit.
–Summery Makeup Bag- The bag it comes with holds a good amount of products, and I used it when I went away for a weekend. If you are going away for longer than a few days, use bigger bag.
-Sephora Samples- You get three free samples when you order online and I got a deluxe sample of the Fresh Sugar Rose during a promotion.
–The Porefessional Agent Zero Shine- I haven’t used this yet, because I want to empty it into something. I don’t want to try and brush a loose powder out of a small packet.
–Bliss The Youth As We Know It Anti-Aging Night Cream- I have only used this twice, but so far it feels nice on my skin. The smell is a bit strange. It does have a scent, but I’m not sure what the scent is. Scents don’t really bother me, but if they bother you smell this before you buy it.
–Fresh Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate- I have been working on this, and I have almost used it all up! It has been working really well on my dark circles. I even considered purchasing a full size until I realized it was $85!!!!! If you can spend that much I would say pick it up, otherwise I will be trying much cheaper alternatives.
–Fresh Sugar Rose Lip Treatment- Everyone raves about this and I am pretty sure it is just for the smell. It smells like candy, and yes I want to eat it, but it’s nothing special in the lip balm department. I still love my Blistex Lip MedEx. This does have a nice tint for those “no makeup” makeup days, but there are a lot of tinted lip balms out there for less than $22.
