Best And Worst From the VMAs and Emmys (Because You Can Never Read Enough of These)

The VMAs and Emmys happened to be a day apart this year which means double the fashion!  Here are my best and worst from the VMAs and Emmys.  Tell me your best and worst in the comments and why!?!!?

VMA Best:

jennifer-lopez 2014 vmataylor-swift VMA 2014iggy-azalea VMA 2014

Jennifer Lopez in Charbel Zoe- This dress is perfect for Jennifer Lopez.  It is glamorous and sexy, but not over the top. She took her style and did it for the VMAs.  Jennifer Lopez knows what she’s doing.

Taylor Swift in Mary Katrantzou- There have been mixed feelings about this look, but I think people just don’t like Taylor herself. I love this romper.  She has a good amount of skin showing without looking exposed.  The look is also fun and different.

Iggy Azaela in Versace-Iggy went all out in this dress! This accentuates her assets and the color is beautiful.  This slicked back hair completed her sexy, but sophisticated look.

VMA Worst:

amber-rose VMA 20142014 MTV Video Music Awards - Arrivalskim-kardashian VMA 2014

Amber Rose in Laura Dewitt- I am speechless.  I don’t care how good you think you look, you can’t wear a bikini to an award show.  Gross.

Ariana Grande in Moschino- She must be channeling pretty woman because this girl looks like an escort.  The dress is too short, there is too much skin showing and the boots don’t help.  And I think I speak for everyone when I say, “Ariana CHANGE YOUR HAIRSTYLE!!!”

Kim Kardashian in Balmain- We all know Kim Kardashian has curves, but does she know she doesn’t have to show them off.  When did the VMAs turn into an excuse to bare it all.  Keep it classy ladies.

Emmys Best:

Julia Roberts Emmys 2014Lizzy Caplan Emmys 2014Gwen Stefani Emmys 2014

Julia Roberts in Ellie Saab- I love this designer, I love this woman.  They always get it right.

Lizzy Caplan in Donna Karan- This was a show stopper.  Lizzy Caplan looked like a movie star in this.  She was so elegant and poised and sexy, but sophisticated.  I couldn’t keep my eyes off of her.  This was perfect.

Gwen Stefani in Versace- I’m just going to say it.  I think this is the best that Gwen Stefani has ever looked.  Its glamorous and elegant, but it’s still Gwen.  That deep neckline with the hardware was beautiful and then the silhouette was more flowy and loose it was so different and cool.  Gwen Stefani sets the standards for was musicians should wear to award shows.

Emmy Worst:

Kerry Washington Emmys 2014Lena Dunham emmys 2014Katherine Heigl Emmys 2014

Kerry Washington in Prada- People are obsessed with Kerry Washington like she can do no wrong, but completely disagree. There is nothing interesting about this dress except the color and that makes her look like a jack-o-lantern.  Black and orange never look good together and it’s a boring dress.  Not a fan.

Lena Dunham in Giambattista Valli- The thing with Lena Dunham is she wears what she wants and I appreciate and understand that.  The dress itself isn’t the reason she is on my worst dressed list.  She needs to wear stuff that actually fits her.  During the Emmys her dress just looked too big like it was going to swallow her up.  She looks like she’s even having trouble walking in to because it is so large.  I like this outfit, I just wish it fit (maybe a different top perhaps).

Katherine Heigl in John Hayles- All I could think when I saw this was “Mother of the Bride”.  I feel like it’s unflattering and a strange color.  The only thing I liked about this was her hair.
